Why connect your accounts?
Gunvald needs access to your company’s Facebook and Instagram accounts so it can publish and schedule content on your behalf. The connection uses the Meta Partner Connect model at the organization level, which gives you better security and control than personal account-based linking.
Organization-level connection
Why the organization level?
Meta Partner Connect uses organization-level linking, which means:
- The connection belongs to the organization, not to one person’s account.
- One Facebook Page and one Instagram account per organization.
- The connection stays in place even if your team members change.
- Better security through the Meta Business partner model.
- Company-level control in Meta Business Manager.
If you manage multiple locations or brands, create separate organizations for them in Gunvald.
Connection steps
1. Connect your business
Start in the Meta Partner Connect wizard. Click the "Connect business" button to continue to Meta OAuth sign-in. This fetches your company’s Business ID automatically.

This step is completed in Meta Business Manager. The wizard shows Gunvald AI’s Business ID, which you need to create the partnership.
- Open Meta Business Suite → Settings → Users → Partners.
- Click "Add partner" and enter Gunvald AI’s Business ID.
- Choose the Facebook Page or Pages you want to share.
- Grant Full Control to the Page.
- Choose the Instagram account or accounts you want to share.
- Grant Full Control to the Instagram account.
- Return to Gunvald and continue to the next step.
Note: only one Facebook Page and one Instagram account can be connected per organization. If you have more, create separate organizations for them.
3. Verify the connection
After you have added Gunvald AI as a partner in Meta, click the "Verify connection" button in the wizard.
- The partnership has been created correctly.
- The Facebook Page is connected.
- The Instagram account is connected and linked to the Facebook Page.
- The required permissions are in place.
If the check finds a problem, the wizard shows the issue and offers an automatic fix when available.
After the connection
Selection saved
Once the preflight check succeeds, the selected Facebook Page and Instagram account are saved to the organization. Publishing automatically uses those connected accounts.
Manage the partnership
You can manage the partnership in Meta Business Manager. You can remove the partnership or adjust permissions at any time.
Connecting multiple pages or accounts
Organization-level limit
With the Meta Partner Connect model, only one Facebook Page and one Instagram account can be connected per organization.
If you want to connect multiple pages or accounts:
- Create a separate organization in Gunvald for each page or account.
- Connect each organization separately through the Meta Partner Connect wizard.
- Choose one page or account for each organization.
This structure works especially well if you manage multiple locations or brands and each one needs its own organization and connected accounts.
Partnership settings
Check your partnership settings
The Meta Partner Connect model requires the following:
- Partnership created: Gunvald AI has been added as a partner in Meta Business Manager.
- Full Control: the partner has Full Control for both the Facebook Page and the Instagram account.
- Page selected: the correct Facebook Page is included in the partnership.
- Instagram linked: the Instagram account is linked to the selected Facebook Page.
The preflight check automatically verifies these settings. If something is missing, the wizard shows an error and suggests what to fix.

Manage the partnership
You can manage the partnership in Meta Business Manager:
- Business Suite → Settings → Users → Partners: see all current partnerships.
- Remove partnership: remove Gunvald AI’s partnership at any time.
- Change permissions: update the granted permissions when needed.
- Page or account selection: change which pages or accounts are included.
If you remove the partnership or change permissions, the preflight check will detect it and show an error state.

What does preflight verify?
The preflight check confirms that your Meta Partner Connect setup is healthy:
- Partnership: Gunvald AI has been added as a partner and permissions have been granted.
- Facebook Pages: the connected Pages are found and accessible.
- Instagram accounts: the connected accounts are found and linked to their Pages.
- Permissions: Full Control has been granted for both the Page and the Instagram account.
- Selection: one Page and one account have been selected for the organization.
If the check finds issues, the wizard shows them and can offer an automatic fix when available.
Most common issues
The connection fails
- Make sure you have a Meta Business Manager account and Business ID.
- Check that Meta OAuth sign-in completed successfully and the Business ID was fetched.
- If you use browser extensions like ad blockers, disable them temporarily during the setup.
- If the Business ID is missing, contact support.
The preflight check fails
If the preflight check shows errors:
- Make sure Gunvald AI has been added as a partner in Meta Business Manager.
- Check that Full Control has been granted to both the Page and the Instagram account.
- Make sure the Instagram account is linked to the selected Facebook Page.
- Try the "Fix automatically" button if it is available.
- If the issue continues, contact support.
Posts are not publishing
If your posts are not going out:
- Check that the preflight check succeeds and the connection is active.
- Make sure the correct Page or account is selected for the organization.
- Verify that the partnership settings are still valid in Meta Business Manager.
- Run the preflight check again in the wizard.
