Scheduling basics
How does scheduling work?
Gunvald automatically schedules approved posts at suitable publishing times. You can also adjust the timing manually.
Automatic scheduling:
- • AI suggests the best publishing times
- • Scheduling conflicts are avoided by keeping at least a 3-hour gap on the same channel
- • Weekdays and time windows are taken into account automatically
Editing the schedule
You can update the schedule in several places:
- In Drafts: choose a date and time while approving the post
- In the legacy Generator: adjust the time before approval
- In the Content Library: schedule or reschedule the post into Scheduler
- In Scheduler: move posts to new times
Publish now vs scheduled publishing
• Publish now
The post is published immediately with the "Publish now" button. Use this when you want to publish right away.
• Scheduled publishing
The post is set for a future time. Use this when you want to plan content ahead.
Timezone and time settings
Timezone settings
Gunvald uses the signed-in user’s local timezone when handling schedules.
Important:
- • Scheduled times are shown in the user’s own timezone
- • If your team works across multiple timezones, agree on a shared scheduling practice
- • Use manual scheduling and notify the team when needed
Scheduling settings
- • You can change scheduled times in Drafts, the Content Library, and Scheduler
- • Scheduled posts are listed in Scheduler
- • Use the "Reschedule" action when you want to move a publication
Scheduling controls
Edit the time
Open the scheduled post in Scheduler and choose a new date and time from the calendar.
Pause the publication
You can cancel a scheduled publication any time before it goes live.
Publish immediately
Use the "Publish now" button if you want to publish the post immediately instead of keeping it scheduled.
Common issues and fixes
Time mistakes
AI uses the current year and normal weekday assumptions. You can always change the time from the card before approval or later in Scheduler.
Media missing
Upload your own image or ask AI to generate an image plan if the post does not yet have suitable media.
Scheduling conflicts
Posts on the same channel are spaced at least 3 hours apart. If a time conflicts, the system suggests a new slot.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the schedule after publishing?
No. Published posts cannot be edited anymore, but you can still edit scheduled posts before they are published.
How far into the future can I schedule?
You can schedule posts for any future time. In practice, a 1–2 month planning horizon works best for most teams.
What happens if I forget about a scheduled post?
Gunvald publishes the post automatically at the scheduled time. You can review completed publications from the Analytics page.
Can I cancel a scheduled publication?
Yes. You can remove or move a scheduled post in Scheduler or in the Content Library before it is published.
Why does scheduling fail?
The most common reasons are an expired Meta connection, missing permissions, or a temporary technical issue. Check the connection first and try again.
